Lioness

DREAM

He smiled, he laughed
He took her hand.
He dreamed with her
Along the sand.

She listened, she saw
She touched his cheek.
She dreamed of time
Beyond a week

They loved, they shared
Their hearts content.
The days were theirs'
As time had meant.

He sought, he found
His heart did leap.
He felt her love
Eternal and deep.

She wished, she thought
She hoped for more.
She knew his love
As none before.

They gave, they took
They accepted fate.
Their hearts embraced
No longer a wait.

His arms were brave
Her eyes were weak.
Their time was up
More dreams to seek.
